Legendary Smiths’ guitarist has a new album out entitled BOOMSLANG. There are two FREE MP3s available at their official site under the audio/video section. “Bangin’ On” has a bit of a country/twang influence and then once the vocals kick in, you know you’re dealing with veteran British rockers.
[I was not able to get the downloads to work, but maybe that was just me and my browser. Let me know if it works for you, ’cause I’d also like to hear the second single, “Down On The Corner”. I did however find an alternate download source for “Bangin’ On” here at iMusic.com. And since Johnny Marr’s site also has an iMusic logo on it, I’m pretty sure they are either hosting or sponsoring the downloads with the artist’s consent.]

Okay, my bad! I should have checked the release information. BOOMSLANG is three years old at this point. Thanks to Laura for pointing that out.

this album has been out since 2002 or 2003… it’s not new.
