WISP >> “IN A BLUE FACE” and “FUNGUS FLAP”
The Earstroke netlabel has several experimental electronica releases for you to download, all for FREE. Molly O’s pick of the bunch would be Wisp two albums, IN A BLUE FACE and FUNGUS FLAP. Wisp offers up several instrumental gems like “Many Fields“, “On Rails and” and “Turqouis Tinged Pennies“. His second EP has a darker, more gothic tone, demonstrated effectively in the first track “Lavender Spore“.
I hate to categorize Wisp as generic B-movie electronica, but it has that feel; It strikes me that one could have heard this music before at the end credits of some cable channel sci-fi movie-of-the-week.
